More than thirty nonprofit agencies and community groups have united to organize the first ever Atlanta Homeless Connect (AHC) on Sunday, October 25 at the Georgia State Sports Arena located at 125 Decatur Street in Downtown Atlanta. Inspired by the federal government’s National Project Homeless Connect model, AHC is a one-day one-stop shop for information and services. AHC will bring together healthcare agencies, housing facilities, mental health providers, local businesses and other organizations in a resource fair for the homeless as well as the greater community.

The mission of AHC organizers is to not only bring resources to Atlanta’s homeless population, but also to erase the stigma associated with homelessness through public knowledge and awareness, to unite the community through services and activities, and to engage civic responsibility through volunteer opportunities.
